"Excellent use of a wide-angle lens, perfect colour scheme and an eye opening concept. What else is there to say?"Into the future by =Zx20 (

This is a wonderfully moody and dramatic shot all around. The whole 'footsteps in the sand' thing has obviously been done before but when you do it with a figure in the shot and with a much darker look... it makes it feel very new and fresh. The golden shine of the sand really stands out amongst the rest of the darkness, and for me in a way kind of gives this shot a slightly surreal look... in fact when first looking at this I imagined this shot being taken on the surface of another planet (but maybe that's just me and the way I look at things) which would give the title of the photo all new meaning.
As always your toned down sky color works marvelously and the soft look of the clouds is to die for. The lighting is dynamic and eye catching as the shadows seem to dance on the golden sand. The way the figure is silhouetted matches the mountains very nicely, I don't think it would have looked as natural if you could see too many details in the model's clothing. One thing that came to mind as a possible other version of this; it might be interesting to do this in square format (cropping off some of the bottom), although this would cut off the main footprint in the foreground.
All around another stunning wide angle capture... your vision is excellent and I consistently look forward to your unique views of the world!
